CLIENT DOCUMENT CHECKLIST | ScannerPilot Tailor this starter to one business, period, and agreed engagement. The CSV contains eight suggested categories, not eight mandatory request items. Remove irrelevant categories. Split categories into one row per actual requested document, account and period; do not count statement pages as separate requests. Replace the suggested specificity guidance in the fifth column with the exact request before sharing. Do not ask for files you can already obtain through authorized access. Use account labels or last four digits, not full numbers. Suggested collection statuses: Requested: not received. Follow up when appropriate. Received: file or reply arrived; the collection check is still pending. Needs clarification: incomplete, unclear or wrong period; assign the exact question. Ready for bookkeeping: usable information; accounting review still follows. These labels are not ScannerPilot menu names. Record expected availability for statements not yet issued. Record confirmed not-applicable items and explanations. Preserve deadline changes and reasons. For readiness measures, exclude confirmed not-applicable items and define the items due consistently. No due items means no rate, not an automatic 100%. Keep this file in approved, access-controlled storage. Do not include passwords, verification codes or unnecessary personal information. This tool is a request tracker and does not replace accounting records or establish legal requirements. Full guide: https://scannerpilot.com/blog/bookkeeping-client-document-checklist
